You may be interested to learn that Learning Village (202 Fairfax St.) has a long and colorful history. It was started in the late Sixties by Roger Ulrich, former psych. prof. at WMU. (Ulrich also started Lake Village Homestead on Long Lake; many of the early residents of Lake Village were LV teachers.) First located briefly downtown (in 1967), LV then went for many years to Phelps St. off of E. Main (there is today another LV site located on E. Main). The old Phelps St. building was razed many years ago. LV came to Westnedge Hill in about 1989. There is also a third location today down off of Crosstown Parkway.
