Hi Neighbors,

A young woman in our neighborhood noticed a man going to a number of homes on our street. She said he had dirty blonde hair, was smoking a cigarette, medium build and did not have any 'goods' or clipboard or anything that would indicate he was a door to door salesperson or delivering flyers. She said he would go up to a door and often up the driveway and around the back.

He was likely looking for an open door or an opportunity to do no good. If you should see anything like that please call the non emergency police number and ask for an officer to check it out: (269) 337-8994

If you are unsure, DO NOT answer the door if you don't know or expect someone. You do not have to be polite and answer an unexpected visit from a stranger....if you dont' think it's right, you are probably correct.

It's also a good time to remind you that thieves are more active in the warmer weather months. Be sure to LOCK your car, your garage AND your home. Even if you are in the back yard planting flowers...Lock er up. Sadly some see that as an opportunity to enter your house and grab a purse or a wallet.
